What is the advantage of signing up now rather than waiting, and how does it guarentee my priority or "place in line"?
Once your $197 deposit is processed, we timestamp your enrollment and record your details. An officially secured spot guarantees you are among the first to experience the program after launch and gives you priority access to program updates. A select few will get exclusive early access to beta test the program, giving them the unique opportunity to shape and refine the training features and content with direct input before the official launch. If you wait, you may miss the chance to shape it, as key decisions around features and content will already be locked in.
What exactly am I placing a deposit for and what does the XcceleratoR include?
The NAPA Autotech XcceleratoR includes content for the three main cloud-based components, which work together to accelerate skill development, ensure consistent safety and service standards, and help technicians quickly become productive team members in your shop.
- Assess: This module evaluates new or entry-level technicians’ current skills.
- Accelerate: The NAPA Autotech Xcellerator structured training program that rapidly elevates technicians from their assessed skill level to revenue-generating performance on the shop floor.
- Assist: Tech Assist Smart Glasses are AR-enabled smart safety glasses that deliver specs, diagrams, precise instructions, and immediate guidance in seconds, hands-free and hassle-free.
XR Hardware is a separate charge to allow flexible options that fit the needs and budgets of small and large shops. (See following FAQ for more information)
Are the VR Headsets and Tech Assist Glasses included or purchased separately?
VR Headsets and Tech Assist AR Safety Glasses are not included and require a separate purchase. This allows us to offer flexible options that fit the needs and budgets of small and large shops.
- VR Headsets are required for the Assess and Accelerate components. Multiple technicians can share one headset.
- Tech Assist AR Safety Glasses are required for the Assist component. Since each technician uses these daily, we recommend purchasing one pair per tech. However, you can prioritize and scale purchases based on your budget.
The current estimated cost is around $1,000 for 1 VR Headset and 1 pair of Tech Assist AR Safety Glasses. Final pricing is subject to change based on possible feature enhancements by March 2026.
Are there any ongoing subscription, maintenance, or tech assist per-call fees to keep using the platform?
Yes. The NAPA Autotech XcceleratoR is a cloud-based, AI-powered SaaS (Software as a Service) platform. There will be a minimal monthly or annual subscription fee. This covers everything, including access to all components (like Tech Assist), cloud storage, regular updates, and ongoing support. There are no per-call charges; just one simple subscription to keep your system running smoothly.
How much will the full program cost beyond the $197 deposit?
We’re still finalizing the full program price. The cloud-based platform will be competitively priced and designed to be affordable for shops of all sizes. Plus, the more shop owners who enroll early, the lower the final cost will be for everyone.
While there will be a cost involved, the benefits are clear: less downtime, faster onboarding, higher productivity, and increased revenue. This program is built to deliver significantly greater ROI than traditional training solutions, making it a smart investment in your shop’s future.
Is the entire deposit of $197 fully refundable at any time or if I change my mind?

Yes. We will provide multiple opportunities for you to test the equipment and training modules firsthand to see how they fit your shop. Demos will be available at multiple industry events like the Vision show and potential regional showcases. What happens if the March 2026 rollout is delayed?
We’re fully committed to a March 2026 release. However, unforeseen delays can happen. If specific features aren’t ready, we will ship the core product in March and roll out any pending capabilities shortly thereafter.
